This is named conch as the inner ear looks like a conch shell. This is pierced with a straight labret but after healing can be swapped to a hoop to make an orbital piercing. The daith is commonly referred to as the 'piercing for migraines'. There is no guarantee that this will help your headaches but I have had many people say that it has helped drastically with their headaches afterwards. The daith piercing is through an acupressure point located in the lower ridge in the inner ear. This is a long bar connecting 2 piercings going through the outer helix's. The healing time can be a long time for some people from 4-6 months upto a year. A sneaky piercing which remains hidden while the mouth is closed. It is a great way to decorate your mouth but please note that not everyone is suitable for this piercing. People that have tongue tie or have certain vein configuration within the tongue might not be able to have this piercing. This initial aftercare can be hard as the tongue swells and makes eating and drinking difficult. After the initial piercing you will need to come back to the studio and downsize the bar.
