What is Mole Mapping?
Mole mapping is a non-invasive, advanced skin monitoring procedure designed to track moles and skin changes over time. It plays a vital role in the early detection of skin cancer, particularly melanoma.
During your appointment, a female specialist will use the latest digital imaging technology to capture high-resolution images of your skin and moles across your body. These images are securely stored and can be compared annually to monitor any changes.
If any mole appears suspicious or requires further investigation, we will refer the information to our Dermatologist. (Please note: this referral is at an additional cost, which will be discussed during your appointment.)
Mole mapping is a proactive way to safeguard your skin health, especially if you have:
• A large number of moles
• A personal or family history of skin cancer
• Atypical or irregular moles
• Fair skin, or high sun exposure
