Skin health is ultimately about circulation and blood flow. Facial Gua Sha helps to restore circulation patterns to the face by easing tension through the fascia and oxygenating the cells. Rooted in ancient Chinese Medicine, the practice also works on the subtle layers of the body by stimulating energy flow through the bodies rivers or meridians (energy channels) of which many flow to and from the face. I’ll work the chest, neck, face and head to aid circulation, melt tension, aid lymphatic drainage and leave the skin glowing from within. This treatment includes a deep cleanse and mask to prep the skin and lots of lovely hydrating products to nourish and replenish the skins health. Suitable for all skin types (although I would adapt the treatment for those experiencing cystic acne or sensitivities). This facial is all about using advanced techniques to aid circulation, release tension and bring life to the facial tissues. After prepping the skin with a deep cleanse and hydrating mask, I’ll work the muscles of the chest, neck, face and head to aid lymphatic drainage, boost circulation, melt tension in specific areas whilst simultaneously soothing the nervous system. This facial includes the option of buccal massage which is where I work (with gloves) on the inside of the mouth for targeted deeper work around the jaw, mouth and cheeks. The perfect facial for congested skin. This facial has been especially formulated to provide your skin with a deep cleanse without compromising the skin barrier in any way. After a consultation, I’ll select products suitable for your skin and carry out a deep cleanse with steam, an exfoliation, 2 masks, lymphatic drainage to aid detoxification & LED light therapy to support skin healing. For pregnancy and beyond ♥️ This 60 or 90 minute treatment has been perfectly formulated to support your body, mind and skin whilst you grow, sustain and take care of your beautiful babe(s!). You can expect plenty of massage to tend to your body; chest, shoulders, neck, face, head and optional foot. I’ll use soothing, nourishing products; cleanse, gentle exfoliation, 2 masks and plenty of hydration to support your skin through any changes that pregnancy and being a new mum may bring. Most of all, I encourage you to settle and relax into a nurturing environment and allow me to take total care of you, encouraging deep, restorative rest. I am a qualified TMJ massage therapist, using specific remedial massage to support those with pain and discomfort related to the jaw. TMJ stands for the Temporal, Mandibular Joint which is the two joints that connect the jaw to the skull. When these joints are out of place, they can cause many problems from clicking to popping, pain around the jaw and surrounding muscles, locking or limited opening of the mouth, tension headaches and muscle spasm. This treatment is a full body approach to TMJ dysfunction focusing on the practices of remedial massage, myofascial release and trigger point therapy. I’ll work to release tension both directly around the TMJ joint (both inside and outside the mouth) and on the surrounding and supporting muscles in the shoulders, neck, face and scalp.
