We do this by showing you pulsations from your baby's heart that show that your pregnancy is continuing. We are not restricted by a short appointment time. This is to make sure you have time to ask any questions and so we can fully support you no matter the outcome of your scan. If you are experiencing pelvic pain or bleeding, we recommend you consult your GP or an Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit in the first instance (or call 111 for advice). This scan assesses the size, shape and condition of both kidneys and the bladder. This includes checking for stones, lesions or evidence of kidney inflammation. The purpose of the Abdominal Aorta Scan is to examine the size, shape and condition of the: ● aorta ● iliac arteries ● should an aneurysm be identified, both kidneys and renal arteries will also be evaluated. Report and images emailed to you on the same day. |~| (15 mins)

This scan is for ladies undergoing fertility treatment to assess the growth of the follicles and thickness of the endometrial. It is a male sonographer with a female chaperone. Endometrial thickness scan 15mins £80 This transvaginal ultrasound scan is for women who are about to undergo or are undergoing fertility treatment in the UK or abroad. It will determine the thickness of the endometrium which is required before implantation of a fertilised egg. NO OVARIES WILL BE CHECKED IN THIS SCAN We will provide a report via email and are able to offer advice and recommendations. We can send the report and images to your GP if required. Coil placement scan 15mins £80 This transvaginal ultrasound scan is for women who want to check the position of their Intrauterine Contraceptive Device (coil). It will confirm the presence of the coil and its location. We will provide images via email and are able to offer advice and recommendations. Women’s Health Scan: Post-Menopausal 30mins £125 This transvaginal or transabdominal ultrasound scan is for women of post-menopausal age (those who’s periods have stopped for over one year). It will look in detail at the Uterus, Endometrium, Ovaries and the Pelvic area. This scan can diagnose or exclude uterine abnormalities, fibroids, polyps, ovarian cysts, hydrosalpinx, pyosalpinx and pelvic abscesses or collections. It can also be used to monitor existing fibroids, monitor the lining of the womb and for baseline screening for ovarian cancer. We will provide a report via email and are able to offer advice and recommendations. If you wish to have the scan transabdominally please ensure you have a very full bladder and make a note on your booking.
